Swain County Board of Education has moved their regular meeting from Monday May 13 to Thursday May 16, 6 o'clock at the Board room at 50 Main Street
Mark your calendars. May 20th the high school will be offering free physicals. Your student athlete will need a physical to compete in athletics. They will not be able to practice with their sport until a physical is on file with the Athletic Director. Forms are available at the middle school in the office or a copy can be emailed to you. Some parts have to be filled out and signed before they are able to see the doctor. A bus will transport students to the high school after school to get these done. Reminder: EOG test prep and review will be offered after school on May 8th, 15th, and 22nd from 3:30-4:30 to help students prepare for end of grade testing. A snack will be provided after school and then we will dive into test taking strategies, what they can do now to help prepare, and vocabulary for different subjects. If you would like for your child to be involved, they just need to stay after school on May 8th, 15th, and 22nd!
