The Swain Middle School gym floor is looking its absolute best after receiving its annual refinishing! From PE classes and athletic competitions to assemblies and school events, this floor will be the backdrop for countless memories this year.
A huge thank you to our outstanding custodial team for the time, skill, and pride they put into restoring and maintaining one of the most-used spaces in our school. Their hard work doesn't just make our gym look incredible—it helps create a welcoming environment where our students can learn, compete, and succeed.

We're proud to recognize Corbin Wade and Kennedy Roper for representing our community at the 2026 Adidas Track & Field Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina, on June 18–19!
Corbin Wade competed in the middle school division, earning:
10th Place in the Discus Throw
5th Place in the Shot Put
Kennedy Roper also had an outstanding showing, finishing:
Top 40 in the 1600-Meter Run
Top 30 in the 800-Meter Run

Last week, GEAR UP took an amazing group of Swain Middle School students on an unforgettable trip to Huntsville, Alabama! Students explored the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, experienced hands-on learning at the Cook Museum of Natural Science, and visited both the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the University of Alabama in Huntsville to learn more about future college opportunities.
From science and technology to college and career exploration, our students had an incredible week filled with learning, discovery, and inspiration!
