Online Registration is now open for Returning students for the 2023-24 school year!

The Online Student Registration Form is open for the 2023-2024 school year for students that completed the previous school year in our school system!!! Please consider using this online process in place of many of the hard copy student forms that your child brings home at the beginning of the school year. https://bit.ly/SCSOnlineReg23

Mobile Dentist

The Mobile Dentist will be on campus the week of November 13, 2023.
For more information and to sign up visit mobiledentists.com or call 855-481-8639. Forms will go home the week of September 18th.

Student Accident Insurance Available

Young Insurance Group is offering voluntary student accident insurance for the 2023-2024 school year. Information has been posted on the School District Website under the Parents Tab and labeled Student Accident Insurance. You can apply on-line or by mail. Applications are available on the school website at https://www.swain.k12.nc.us/studentinsurance

Swain County Schools was recently made aware of discrepancies on a school calendar posted on social media. We are sorry for any confusion this mistake may have caused. The current calendar posted is the correct version of the calendar for this school year.

Time to schedule your child's vaccinations!

Students entering the 7th grade must have 1 dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and 1 dose of MCV (meningococcal vaccine) prior to the start of the 2023/24 school year. Contact the school nurse if you have questions, at 488-3480 x 5333 Thank you!

MLK Holiday

Swain County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr Holiday.

No School for Students - Teacher Workday - Jan 13, 2023

Due to the forecast for inclement weather in Swain County and to avoid the potential of having to dismiss in the middle of our End of Course Exams, Swain County Schools will be closed for students on Friday, January 13th and it will be an Optional Teacher Workday for staff. In addition, Swain County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr Holiday.
